All of us are connected and empowered by digital technology in ways we could not have possibly imagined as children. We are in-formed and empowered by a wealth of online information to be selective about the brands we choose to patronize. If companies cannot satisfy our appetites for constantly improving products, services, and experiences, we quickly shift our loyalties to those that can.
This reality has created a highly competitive business climate in which the big can no longer expect to quickly consume the small. In-stead, we’re seeing more instances where the quick and agile are devouring the slow and sedentary – which is why I believe sizable companies should consider hiring a Chief Innovation Officer.
